Hopsego

A family-centered, hop-focused event for people of all ages!

The event includes demonstrations by tradesman skilled in 19th Century methods, as well as a contemporary potter, Bob McCann. Take a spin on our Carousel and them make a boutonniere or hop pillow or play a game on on our carousel green. Go down on the farm and set a hop pole, pick hops and learn about hop picking in the 19th Century through today. See authentic objects from the old hop picking days of the late 1800s in our pop-up exhibit and chat with a trained staff member about the history of hops in Otsego County and the surrounding region. Beer tastings by local craft breweries and live music on the Bump Tavern Green from 2 pm – 4 pm.
